Set in a beautiful valley, Kilmartin Glen is the broad area surrounding the village of Kilmartin north of Lochgilphead and south of Oban.  There are at least 350 ancient monuments within six miles of the village, of which around 150 are prehistoric. They include burial cairns, rock carvings, and standing stones, as well as the remains of the fortress of the Scots at Dunadd.

The Glen is a ceremonial complex where people and spirit have interacted for over 6,000 years. It is a place of power where the ancestors and nature spirits that wish to work with us can be met.

In the course of the weekend participants will be initiated into the skills and discipline required for shamanic journeying in the Middle World.  With the support of the circle of our travelling companions and guidance from our spirit allies we will seek the paths and portals that lead to the spirits of the land.  From such meetings great healing can arise.

The trip will be led by Ken Fisher and Simonetta Logan, experienced teachers and leaders who work both with the human spirit and also with the tutelary spirits on the other side of the veil.

We have been assured by spirit that our intentions and our journey are welcome.

On Friday morning we will gather at the Phoenix Centre in Glasgow to prepare for the weekend ahead.  Setting off from Glasgow late morning we will arrive at Ford Village, 4 miles from Kilmartin itself.  We will stay on both Friday and Saturday nights at Ford House, a small and delightful hotel in the village.  Our time over the weekend will be spent either in the tipi, a place for reflection, teaching, sharing and ceremony, or out on the land.  And, of course, eating and sleeping!  Breakfast and a packed lunch will be provided by Ford House, and we will eat together in the evening at local restaurants around Kilmartin.

We will leave Kilmartin late on Sunday morning, to arrive back at the Phoenix Centre by 4 p.m.

The fee of £300 includes all travel, meals and accommodation from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime.
